Gonarezhou is Zimbabwe’s second largest National Park and is located in the south east of the country. Due to its vast size, rugged terrain and the lack of permanent camps, Gonarezhou offers a unique wilderness experience. Meaning “the place of many elephants”, the park is estimated to have in excess of 7000 tuskers. In addition Gonarezhou is the jewel in the crown of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a peace park which incorporates South Africa’s Kruger National Park and Mozambique’s Limpopo National Park and allows animals to roam freely between the three sanctuaries.
